Part-ML aircraft

UK CAA Part-ML uses an aircraft maintenance programme (AMP). The programme may be based on design approval holder data or the Part-ML minimum inspection programme, so the tool asks you to enter the countdown actually used for the aircraft rather than assigning one itself.

Maintenance requirements can come from the applicable aircraft/engine information, BMAA schedules, TADS, mandatory permit directives and other approved material. Individual tasks may therefore have different hour or calendar intervals.

What does this calculator decide?

Only arithmetic. It can subtract a flight duration from a time-remaining figure and highlight when the entered duration meets or exceeds it. It does not extend maintenance intervals, interpret tolerances, defer defects, or declare an aircraft airworthy.

HH:MM versus decimal time

1:30 is 1.5 decimal hours. Decimal hours are not ordinary minutes: 1.30 decimal hours is 1 hour 18 minutes. Choose the format that matches the aircraft record and let the calculator handle the conversion internally.

Detailed disclaimer and data handling
This is a convenience calculator for pilots, aircraft owners and group members. It is not an aircraft technical log, journey log, maintenance programme, continuing-airworthiness system or release-to-service record. Values are calculated from user-entered data and may be wrong if the inputs, time basis or maintenance figures are wrong. Local-save data, when enabled, is stored only in this browser's local storage; flight details are not saved by this tool.
