- The departure airfield field now accepts any of the 221 airfields in the site's shared UK airfields list (the same one the Fuel Finder and Fuel Planner use), not just the 54 curated candidate venues — so e.g. Derby (EGBD) can now be entered as a departure airfield. The 54 candidate venues themselves (the suggested meeting points) are unchanged, since only that list carries the runway surface/fuel/cafe data the venue ranking needs.

- Fixed the map showing every venue marker stacked in the same spot instead of spread across their real locations. The map was being created while its container was still hidden (before an event was chosen), which left Leaflet's internal positioning permanently based on a zero-size map; it now recalculates as soon as the map actually becomes visible.

- Fixed "Create an event" (and the rest of the tool) not working at all on the live site: the map library was being loaded in a way that Astro silently rewrote into a form it can't run in, which crashed the map's setup code before any button on the page could respond to a click.

- The site owner can now permanently delete any event (not just close or reset it) via a new "Delete event permanently" control in the organiser panel, or by pasting the site-wide admin token into that event's management link.
- Events with a target date are now automatically and permanently deleted (the event record and all its participants) 5 days after that date, on top of the existing 2-day auto-hide from the public open-events list. Runs as a background check inside the backend itself; no manual cleanup needed.

- Added Fly-In Events: anyone can anonymously create a named event (with an optional target date and description), and everything below it (participants, stats, ranking and the map) is now scoped to that one event instead of a single global shared pool.
- Whoever creates an event gets a one-time private management link back, letting them close their event or reset just its participants later without needing site-wide admin access.
- A shareable join link (?event=…) pre-selects an event for anyone who opens it; a management link (&manage=…) additionally unlocks that event's organiser controls on this device.
- Events with a target date drop off the "open events" list automatically two days after that date, without deleting their data.
- Backend rewritten around two JSON stores (events + participants) with per-event authorisation (a per-event token or the site-wide admin token); submission de-duplication is now scoped per event.

How this works
Start by creating a Fly-In Event (just a name, and optionally a target date and a short description) or picking an open one someone else has already started. Whoever creates an event gets a private management link: save it, since it's the only way to close that event or reset its participants later. Everyone who wants to come then adds their usual departure airfield, cruise speed and how far they're willing to fly one-way. Once a few people have joined, the tool works out a rough geographic centre and ranks a shortlist of candidate venues by estimated flight time, how many people can actually reach them within their stated range, and the group's runway, fuel and café preferences. No name, email or home address is ever collected, only the airfield you choose and your preferences, and only airfields (not homes) are shown on the map.
